Position: Assistant Financial Reporting Manager
Location: Cayman Islands

About the Role

This role will be part of the Maples Group and will serve in our global finance department as an integral part of the Performance Reporting Team.

Key duties will include:

  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly global financial and non-financial reports, transfer pricing reallocations, and quality reviews of management accounts and supporting information on an ongoing basis;
  • Development of automated financial and non-financial reports and dashboards; and 
  • Facilitation of the global annual budgeting process including multiple legal entities.

Other responsibilities will include:  

  • Global cash flow and liquidity analysis, indirect tax and transfer pricing initiatives, reporting as well as other ad-hoc analysis;
  • Will be required to lead various initiatives or work as part of a project team; and 
  • proven effectiveness in working with large teams across multiple jurisdictions and time zones is required.


What You Bring

In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:

  • Have completed an internationally recognised accounting or financial industry designation (e.g. CPA, ACA or ACCA);
  • Have a minimum of 5 years post qualified audit experience, preferably with a top tier accounting firm;
  • Have advanced knowledge of Excel, Power BI, Power Query and Power Point;
  • Experience with VBA, Data Models and SQL Server Analysis Services Databases will be an advantage;
  • In addition, relevant industry experience with a leading professional services company would be an advantage; and
  • Experience with consolidations including foreign currencies will be an advantage.

The successful candidate must possess excellent time management, interpersonal and communication skills. The willingness to work overtime on short notice is essential. 
The successful candidate must be able to use his/her own initiative, work well under pressure to meet deadlines and be able to maintain confidentiality at all times.

Other key skills and competencies for the role include: 
  • Strong organisational and project management skills;
  • Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (mainly IFRS 10 -  Consolidated Financial Statements and IFRS 15 – Revenue from Contracts with Customers); and 
  • A strong understanding of structured finance companies and hedge funds is preferred.
