Position:  Assistant Vice President – Operational Risk & Internal Audit
Location: Cayman Islands

About the Role

Primary responsibilities include:  

  • Assisting with the internal audits for the Maples Group Caribbean, North America, Europe, Asia and Middle East offices;
  • Review and development of control matrices;
  • Monitoring of open audit observations; and 
  • Project work in relation to policies and procedures, new systems and operational risk more generally.

EXPERIENCE

What You Bring 

In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:

  • The successful candidate will hold a professional graduate accountancy qualification with a minimum of 1-2 year internal audit experience gained in the financial services industry including an understanding of investment funds and structured finance; 
  • He/she will also be expected to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Have an eye for detail and have excellent organization skills.
