Position: Compliance Analyst
Location: Cayman Islands

About the Role

Join a growing team of compliance professionals that will support the Maples Group global compliance team. In this role you will review documentation provided by clients of the Maples Group and conduct analysis to ensure they meet specific customer due diligence requirements for anti-money laundering (AML) purposes. Using open-source intelligence gathering techniques and screening data, you will provide risk analysis to Maples highlighting potential financial crime and reputational risks. Primary responsibilities include:  

  • Collecting and reviewing documentation to meet customer due diligence requirements;
  • Updating systems with relevant data;
  • Providing AML guidance and risk management of Maples’ clients; and
  • Liaising with other members of the Maples Group, team, clients, and other third parties in various international jurisdictions.


What You Bring

In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:

  • The successful applicant will be a university graduate with an excellent academic background and have interest/experience in compliance and/or financial services;
  • Very strong analytical skills with the ability to read and interpret documentation in line with specific requirements;
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft applications;
  • The ability to use initiative, be self-motivated and able to work independently, and work well under pressure to complete high volumes of work with regular deadlines and performance targets;
  • This position requires a high degree of attention to detail, accuracy and efficiency, ability to multi-task and excellent organisational, prioritisation and communication skills;
  • The candidate will be required to adhere to very specific policies and procedures;
  • Certification in financial crimes (ACAMS, ICA, CFCS, CFE, etc.) is considered an asset.
