Position:  Senior Financial Accountant
Location: Cayman Islands

About the Role

The Senior Financial Accountant reports to the Finance Manager and supports the finance department. Its tactical responsibilities feed one larger objective:  implementing and upholding accounting policies, reporting on financial performance and the preparation of statutory and regulatory submissions.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Implementing and upholding accounting policies and procedures;
  • Reporting on financial performance via monthly management accounts;
  • Preparing annual audited financial statements for multiple legal entities, including stand alone and consolidated structures;
  • Preparing statutory and regulatory submissions;
  • Driving the annual budgeting process;
  • Providing oversight of financial cycles such as cash receipts, accounts payable (including liaising with external vendors), billings and accruals; and
  • Partnering with the business and other departments on financial matter.

EXPERIENCE

What You Bring 

In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the successful candidate will have:

  • Education: Qualified accountancy professional (ACA/ACCA);
  • Experience: Approx. 3 years post qualification experience, ideally gained within a “Big 4 “ environment;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Excellent time management, organisational and prioritisation skills; 
  • Ability to display analytical and pragmatic thinking; and
  • Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards.
