Position: Vice President –Funds Fiduciary

Location: Delaware, United States

About the Role

This role will be part of the Maples Group Funds Fiduciary department and will serve as director of a diverse portfolio of investment funds and related onshore and offshore companies

Key duties will include:

  • Exercising fiduciary duties, reviewing transaction documents, coordinating the client acceptance process;
  • Delivering high levels of client service while ensuring that each client relationship is compliant with internal policies and procedures; and
  • Additional duties will involve assisting with the management of junior staff and involvement with ad hoc projects and potentially representing the Maples Group at various industry association events as required.

EXPERIENCE

What You Bring
In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy,

The ideal candidate should have:

  • A university degree with an excellent academic background;
  • At least eight to ten years’ relevant financial services experience with a particular focus on Institutional investors;
  • Strong knowledge of all forms of investment funds and strategies;
  • Experience in reviewing transaction documents and knowledge of corporate governance, relevant local laws and regulatory requirements is a must;
  • An understanding of financial statements would be an advantage; and
  • Experience liaising with lawyers, investment managers, institutional investors, administrators and other transaction parties located in various international jurisdictions is required.

Key skills for this role are as follows:

  • Superb attention to detail, professionalism, excellent organizational skills, and a team-first mentality;
  • Be a self-starter with the ability to handle a complex and diverse workload;
  • Strong drafting, critical thinking and communication skills;
  • Sound working knowledge of all Windows applications;
  • Experience with relationship management and client service; and
  • Excellent time management, organizational, prioritization and communication skills, both verbal and written (fluent written and oral English).

The successful candidate must be able to use his/her own initiative, work well under pressure to meet deadlines and be able to maintain confidentiality at all times. The Successful candidate may be required to work extended hours on short notice and occasionally on weekends.
