Position: Senior Vice President - Regulatory Services and Compliance
Location: Cayman

About the Role

The Senior Vice President - Regulatory and Compliance will report directly to the Chief Risk Officer of the Maples group assisting with a wide range of special projects as part of the group's risk management framework. Primary responsibilities include:

  • A number of on-going responsibilities as relates to the groups regulatory, risk and compliance functions;
  • A high degree of independence, responsibility and accountability and will require the management of a strong network of stakeholders across all regions; and
  • Effective communication with clients, advisors, regulators and other third parties will also be critical to the role.


What You Bring

In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:

  • The successful candidate will be a university graduate with an excellent academic background and a minimum of 10 years relevant experience in senior positions within the financial services industry, in a regulatory or compliance role and with international experience;
  • It will be advantageous for the candidate to have a law degree; and
  • Experience working effectively and collaboratively across multiple jurisdictions, strong risk awareness, and the ability to credibly manage and influence multiple stakeholders at senior levels across the group.
