Position: Senior Vice President – Company Secretarial

The Senior Vice President reports to the Business Head and oversees the corporate secretarial team. His/her tactical responsibilities feed one larger objective: overseeing a team of client service professionals in the corporate secretarial team and having responsibility for the delivery of services to a varied portfolio of clients where Maples Fiduciary Services is providing corporate company secretarial services. Primary responsibilities include:
- ensure the effective management of the team including motivating, encouraging office culture, gaining commitment, effective delegation and ensuring sufficient resources within the team;
- manage budgeting and financial/management reporting;
- responsible for team billings and receivables;
- identify and manage risk in respect of the team;
- act as a key point of contact for client companies and their board of directors and liaise with lawyers and service providers;
- manage a portfolio of clients and attend Board meetings, draft minutes and resolutions;
- act as a channel of communication for clients and directors on all matters of company law and corporate governance; and
- meet project deliverables for the team through oversight and delegation.

In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:
- proven experience of managing a team of client service professionals;
- work on his/her own initiative, demonstrate excellent organisation and planning skills, be methodical, with strong attention to detail, have the ability to deliver on tight timescales and have excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- must have a third level qualification in a related field and a minimum of 10 years’ relevant work experience in a corporate company secretarial role for the provision of company secretarial services, preferably within Irish legal or accountancy firm(s). Previous experience of structured vehicles/aviation companies would be an advantage;
- familiarity with the Companies Act 2014 is essential;
- knowledge of Blueprint Software would be an advantage; and
- a corporate secretarial qualification from the ICSA is highly preferable for the position.
