Location:Luxembourg

About the Role

  • The Senior Client Accountant reports to the Vice President Client Accounting and ultimately to the Senior Vice President Fiduciary. Its tactical responsibilities feed one larger objective: will serve as a senior accountant for a diverse portfolio of Luxembourg companies engaged in private equity/real estate activities. Primary responsibilities include: depending on the level of experience, the successful candidate will either be responsible for (a) independently undertaking a high volume of routine accounting mandates and/or complex mandates as directed by the Vice President Client Accounting and Senior Vice President Fiduciary and/or (b) for assisting the Vice President Client Accounting and Senior Vice President Fiduciary with the administration of a portfolio of accounting clients.
  • Review and filling monthly VAT returns and annual;
  • Review and filling CIT returns;
  • Monthly reporting under Lux GAAP including understanding IFRS;
  • Review financial reports and financial statements;
  • Supervision of the audit process;
  • Training and coaching of the junior accountants; and
  • Coordination of deadlines with auditors and the client.

EXPERIENCE

What You Bring

In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:

  • Experience in liaising with banks, lawyers, investment managers, auditors, tax advisors and other transaction parties located in various international jurisdictions, as well as strong drafting and communication skills, are essential;
  • In progress of completing or completed a professional qualification i.e. ACA/ACCA/CIMA or any other relevant qualification and have at least 5 to 10 years’ relevant experience gained in financial services;
  • Strong knowledge of corporate accounting gained in fiduciary, audit or any similar business;
  • Knowledge in Lux GAAP and/or IFRS are essential;
  • Knowledge in real estate, holding and financing activities;
  • Fluent English is required;
  • Capable to take decisions and ensure smooth collaborations with external parties; and
  • Capable to meet and coordinate strict deadlines.
