About the Role

The Assistant Vice President – Fund Accounting supports the Fund Accounting team. Its tactical responsibilities feed one larger objective: will be responsible for the preparation and review of complex net asset valuations for a portfolio of open and closed ended funds. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Involvement in all client-related administrative functions and liaising with lawyers, investment managers, prime brokers and other transaction counterparties; and
  • Deliver high levels of client service, ensuring that each relationship is compliant with internal policies and procedures.

What You Bring

In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:

  • Will be a graduate with an excellent academic background, a professional accounting designation and at least 5 years’ relevant experience in investment fund accounting and offshore administration;
  • Key skills required for this role include a detailed understanding of investment securities and transactions, various investment fund structures and direct experience in working with private equity and real estate fund structures, internationally recognised accounting standards and those candidates with experience working in the Middle East;
  • Will be expected to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills in English and possess good time management, organisational and prioritisation skills;
  • An ability to deliver under pressure is a must; and
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have direct experience working with industry leading accounting software systems such as Advent Geneva and Investran Systems.
