Multi-Jurisdictional Maples Team Advise Rockpool Capital Limited on the Launch of its New Real Estate Fund

Maples and Calder, the Maples Group's law firm, is pleased to have advised Rockpool Capital Limited ("Rockpool Capital") on the launch of Rockpool UK Real Estate Income 1 SP (the "Fund").  The Fund, which recently launched in 2022, is a real estate fund which targets investments in restaurants and bars in the leisure sector in the United Kingdom ("UK"). As a cross-border transaction, the structuring of the Fund and its investments touched on a number of jurisdictions spanning across the Cayman Islands, the British Virgin Islands ("BVI"), the UK and Jersey and involved multiple teams of lawyers and professionals working closely and seamlessly together to close various acquisitions.

A multi-jurisdictional team of lawyers from the international law firm's Hong Kong and Jersey offices acted as Cayman Islands, BVI and Jersey legal counsel to Rockpool Capital. The team was led by head of the firm's Asia Funds & Investment Management team, Ann Ng, and Jersey Funds & Investment Management Partner, Simon Hopwood, and assisted by Associate, Anna Chen.
