OVERVIEW

Justin is General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for the Maples Group.  Prior to this, he was a member of the Dispute Resolution & Insolvency team experienced in large scale litigation including professional negligence matters, regulatory proceedings and contractual disputes.  He does not provide legal services to our clients and is focused on internal projects, legislative developments, regulatory compliance, professional standards and ethics, insurance arrangements, general risk management (in conjunction with our Chief Risk Officer), and all the usual duties of general counsel to a global organisation.  Justin is also a member of our Terms of Engagement Committee, Data Protection Committee and Crisis Management Committee.

BACKGROUND

Justin joined the Maples Group in 2007 and was elected as a partner in 2014.  He previously worked for Clayton Utz in Australia.
