OVERVIEW
Melody is a legal manager of the Maples and Calder's Corporate team in the Maples Group's Hong Kong office. Her practice covers a broad range of corporate and finance matters involving Cayman Islands and British Virgin Islands companies, with a focus on initial public offerings in Hong Kong and the United States, debt capital markets transactions and mergers and acquisitions. Melody also has experience in securities issues, pre-IPO restructuring and financing, and general corporate and commercial transactions.
BACKGROUND
Melody joined Maples and Calder in 2021. She was previously an associate at Deacons focusing on corporate finance transactions. She was trained at White & Case (Hong Kong), where she spent six months' secondment at White & Case's London office.
