OVERVIEW

Praajakta is an associate in the Funds & Investment Management team in the Maples Group's Cayman Islands office, focusing on both closed-ended and open-ended funds, including private equity, venture capital and hedge funds.  She advises investment managers and fund sponsors on a wide range of matters involving fund establishment, ongoing maintenance and regulatory compliance, restructuring, and downstream transactions. She also has broad experience of general corporate and M&A matters advising on acquisitions, joint ventures, shareholders' agreements and corporate governance.

BACKGROUND

Praajakta joined the Maples Group in 2021.  Prior to this she worked with another international law firm in the Cayman Islands from 2017.  She started her career with Slaughter and May in London, before moving to the London office of Covington and Burling LLP as a corporate and M&A associate.
