OVERVIEW

David is an associate of Maples and Calder's Funds & Investment Management team in the Maples Group's Dubai office.  He advises clients on the establishment, maintenance and regulatory aspects of investment fund vehicles, in particular for private equity funds, private credit funds, real estate funds, venture capital funds, Shariah compliant (Islamic) funds and hedge funds under Cayman Islands and British Virgin Islands law.  David's clients include asset managers in the Dubai International Financial Centre and the MENA region.

BACKGROUND

David joined the Maples Group in 2019.  Previous to this he trained at a big 4 corporate law firm in Dublin, Ireland, qualifying into a tier 1 Investment Funds and Asset Management practice.  David has also previously worked in-house for a large Swiss-Irish multinational in San Francisco and in Dublin.
