OVERVIEW

Frances is a partner of Maples and Calder's Funds & Investment Management team in the Maples Group's Dublin office. She has extensive experience advising on the establishment, authorisation, operation and maintenance of a wide spectrum of Irish regulated funds (including UCITS and AIFs) across the full range of investment strategies and asset classes.

Frances has particular technical expertise and interest in Sustainable Finance and ESG. She regularly advises asset managers on the implementation and compliance with the EU’s Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulations and the Taxonomy Regulation.

She also has experience in advising on the establishment of Irish limited partnerships and carrying out reviews for institutional investors of their proposed investments in unregulated private equity funds. In addition, she works closely with institutional clients on their money market fund ranges.

BACKGROUND

Frances joined the firm's Funds & Investment Management team as an Associate in 2015. Prior to this, she worked in the Investment Funds group of a leading Irish law firm, where she also trained as a solicitor.
