OVERVIEW

Stuart is of counsel of Maples and Calder's Dispute Resolution & Insolvency team in the Maples Group's British Virgin Islands office. He has extensive experience of contentious cross-border matters arising out of multiple jurisdictions including Europe, Asia, the US and the Caribbean. Stuart's area of practice also specialises in financial litigation and regulatory investigations. 

BACKGROUND

Stuart joined the Maples Group in 2021 having previously worked at another leading international firm. Prior to his move to the British Virgin Islands in 2019, he was Of Counsel at Allen & Overy in London and Hong Kong. Stuart has been recommended in the Legal 500 as a 'Rising Stars' and clients describe him as 'Regimented, methodical, considered and precise – Always available and quick to respond to instructions – Provides thorough and specific advice with clear conclusions.’
