Maples Group Receives Continued Recognition for Information Security Management with ISO 27001 Certification
01 May 2024
The Maples Group is pleased to announce that it has once again received recognition for its information security management and achieved continued ISO 27001:2022 certification. The renewed certification also covers 13 additional new security controls and replaces the soon to be retired ISO 27001:2013 standard which the Group was also awarded.
The ISO 27001:2022 certification scope includes the previously certified eServices platform and the Group's new Phoenix platform which was designed specifically to support Registered Office Services to client entities set up in the Cayman Islands and the British Virgin Islands. Developed in-house, each platform has met the strict controls criteria of ISO 27001:2022, verifying that both platforms meet internationally accepted information security standards. The certification is a testament to the Group's continued focus on ensuring its people, processes and technology are of the highest quality and that it has the capabilities to effectively protect the security of its clients' data.
"We are pleased to once again receive recognition for the quality and performance of our information security management. Clients' trust in our data security and protection processes is of utmost importance. Thank you to our senior leadership, Information Security, IT, Risk and Compliance teams whose efforts have made this success possible," said Robert Eryou, Chief Information Security Officer at the Maples Group.
ISO 27001:2022 is the only internationally recognised certifiable information security standard. Certification to ISO 27001:2022 is completed through an independent, expert assessment that determines whether data that the Group is entrusted to safeguard is sufficiently protected. The certification is achieved through an accredited certification body and provides further assurance to clients that the organisation's information security practices meet international standards.
