OVERVIEW

Ian Clark is a partner of Maples and Calder's Asia Funds & Investment Management team in the Maples Group's Singapore office. He specialises in advising clients on Cayman Islands and British Virgin Islands fund products (hedge and private equity) and regulation in addition to advising on general corporate matters. Ian has particular expertise in the ever-growing digital asset space. He advises digital asset managers and investors in respect of fund set-ups, token / NFT issuances, play-to-earn gaming and connected regulatory applications.

BACKGROUND

Ian joined the Maples Group in 2023. He previously worked for another offshore law firm in Hong Kong and the Channel islands. Ian is noted as "a name to watch" by The Legal 500 for his work advising clients on Cayman Islands and British Virgin Islands fund products.
