OVERVIEW
Mariana is an associate of Maples and Calder's Corporate and Latin America teams in the Maples Group's Cayman Islands office. She advises on all aspects of corporate work, mutual funds, private equity funds and corporate finance, structured finance and capital market transactions. As part of the Latin America group, Mariana works with clients originating from Latin America as well as those investing into the region. Born in Brazil and educated in Canada, Mariana speaks fluent Portuguese and English.
BACKGROUND
Mariana joined the Maples Group in 2013. She previously operated her own firm where she practised as a litigator in Toronto, Canada.

Mariana is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, Advocate's Society, the Ontario Bar Association and the Cayman Islands Legal Practitioners Association.
