OVERVIEW
Michael is an associate of Maples and Calder's Corporate team in the Maples Group's Cayman Islands office. His areas of practice include the formation and restructuring of all types of investment funds, including hedge funds, private equity funds and other corporate, commercial and finance transactions such as restructurings and reorganisations. He also advises on general regulatory aspects.
BACKGROUND
Michael joined the Maples Group in 2013. He previously worked with a Cayman Islands law firm, gaining experience in many practice areas, including investment funds, banking and finance, corporate and commercial and other contentious and non-contentious matters.
PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES
Michael is a member of the Cayman Islands Legal Practitioners Association. In addition, Michael is the President of the Cayman Islands Amateur Swimming Association.
