OVERVIEW
Oliver is an associate of Maples and Calder's Funds & Investment Management team in the Maples Group's London office. He practises Cayman Islands law, advising on the establishment and maintenance of all types of investment funds, in particular private equity and hedge funds. Oliver has been recommended in the Legal 500 as a “Rising Star” and has over 15 years’ experience in the funds industry.BACKGROUND
Oliver joined the Maples Group in 2020. He has spent 10 years as an offshore lawyer having originally trained and qualified as an English solicitor in the funds team at Stephenson Harwood in London. Besides his funds experience, Oliver has also experienced working in equity capital markets in the corporate finance team at Collins Stewart (now Cannacord) and completed a secondment to the legal team of a major UK financial institution.PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES
