Maples Group's Multi-Jurisdictional Expertise Shines with Partners from Ireland, Cayman Islands and Hong Kong Making '50 Leading Women in Hedge Funds' List
14 Nov 2023
The Hedge Fund Journal recently released its 2023 50 Leading Women in Hedge Funds report, which named some of the world's highest rated individuals working in the Hedge Funds industry.
This prestigious list of industry experts proudly includes three Maples Group Partners from the Cayman Islands, Hong Kong, and Ireland. The honorees for this year are Jo Cunningham (Cayman Islands), Ann Ng (Hong Kong) and Eimear O'Dwyer (Ireland), highlighting the Group's leadership in key jurisdictions across Europe, North America and Asia. Notably, Jo Cunningham has secured her second inclusion in this distinguished list, having previously received recognition in the 2015 edition.
Now in its eleventh year, the report highlights women leading all verticals in hedge funds, allocators to hedge funds and associated service providers. The reports features portfolio managers, C-suite roles, general counsel, HR professionals, sales, marketing and business development professionals and investor relations professionals.
"Congratulations to Jo, Ann and Eimear on their well-earned recognition. Their inclusion is a testament to their exceptional legal expertise, dedication and leadership within the funds industry," commented Michael Richardson, Global head of the firm's Funds & Investment Management practice. "This recognition also showcases our commitment to excellence and the vital role our Partners play in the hedge funds industry across the globe. I hope their achievements are an inspiration to the next generation of female lawyers."
The Maples Group strives to foster a culture that values diverse perspectives and is committed to creating an inclusive and supportive working environment. The Group is proud to have a workforce of nearly 60% women represented in each part of the business and has memberships to professional development organisations, such as 100 Women in Finance and the 30% Club.
